Basic Car Maintenance Expression of Interest 2017

This is the signup page for the 2017 Basic Car Maintenance Expression of Interest list (It is not booking into any program - it just adds you to the information distribution list).
By signing up, you will be emailed and/or mailed details about upcoming news, forums or programs regarding the Basic Car Maintenance.

The Basic Car Maintenance Workshop is for any young person aged 16 - 25 years who live, work, study or volunteer within the boundaries of The City of Salisbury and Playford City Council.
Wheels in Motion Participants must attend the Basic Car Maintenance Workshop within the first 3 months of attending a Road Safety Forum.
All Participants will receive a certificate of participation.
There is a $12.00 cost to attend the workshop Event Details
Arrive at 8.45pm for a 9am start.
What we would be looking at covering is basic topics such as:

• How to change a tyre / Checking tyre pressure & why it needs to be checked / knowing when tyres need to be changed

• When & why a car needs to be serviced. What happens when the car is serviced.

• Checking oils / water levels and understanding them

• How to jump start a car

• Danger of un-road worthy car

Small amount of time will be in a class room setting learning the theory, the remaining of the workshop will be practical.
Participants will be working on cars (example - Changing a tyre) So please bring suitable clothing and closed shoes.
